March!
Well, it's been a busy couple of months! I've been working on more fiber stuff, and transitioning to new computer
programs--my geek moved me to Windows 7, and it hasn't been the easiest of transitions for me! Lots of stuff isn't
in the same place and I have to get used to new ways to do everything. Between that and my photographing light source dying,
I haven't been able to get more pictures into my gallery--but plans are in the works! I found a wonderful
new book recently--Knitting in the Old Way. It is a great source! It goes into the very basics of knitting, talking about
how a stitch lies on the needles and how that affects how you use your needles (western, eastern, or a combination of the
two) and the end results in your knitting. It also goes into how to make a lot of traditional sweater styles without being
constricted to specific sizes or rows and rows of instructions. It shows you how to make a sweater based on your chest measurement,
and using percentages of that measure to size it all correctly. I'm really looking forward to tackling more sweaters--though
I think I'll start small, and make stuff for the munchkins in my life first. Which might give me time to get it done by
next winter. Maybe. Seems like so many of my friends are having munchkins I need to knit for.... I'm hoping to have
some more product in the shop in time for St. Patrick's Day, and if I do, I'll probably have a sale to celebrate.
Here's hoping! In the meantime, don't forget to keep an eye on my shops: Etsy and Spindies. And don't forget the Spindies Paint Box for March comes out soon--and they've been selling out very quickly.

Welcome to Dragonmaille Designs, a site designed to celebrate some of the fuzzy, warm, bright, and sparkly things in
life. Fuzzy includes my handspun yarns and my forays into hand-dyed fiber and yarn. Warm refers to the items made from yarn--sometimes from my own handspun, sometimes not--and
some of my own knitting and crochet designs. Bright refers to the colors in the fibers
that I work with, but can also be the bright beads for the yarn jewelry or jewelry items I create. Sparkly,
not surprisingly, refers to the jewelry. Some of my creations I give away, some I keep, and some
are up for sale at my online shop. Are you looking to support artisans in the handcrafted community? Looking for a unique
gift for someone special? Need something for a special occasion, such as a wedding or anniversary? You may be able to find
that perfect item, or items, among my work. Some items are truly one of a kind, and cannot be recreated. However, there are
many which could be made again, so if you see something you want that isn't in my shop, let me know--I may be able to
do a custom order for you. Any questions or requests will be considered at the following email address:: dragonmaille@gmail.com
